Professor Jongsup Hong earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2009 and 2013, respectively, after receiving his B.S. from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University in 2007. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yonsei University. Prior to joining the Yonsei University, he conducted numerous energy-related research projects at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) as a senior research scientist. His research interests include heat and mass transport for efficient energy conversion, thermal management for novel energy systems, homogeneous and heterogeneous chemistry for environmentally-benign fuel utilization, design of thermo-electrochemical energy conversion devices, low-carbon & highly-efficient thermodynamic power cycles, and new and renewable energy hybrid systems.
